News From Our Alumni – Miltos Dimitriou

LIS-RIS System and Data Administrator at the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, Athens

“When you see Hospitality education as a steppingstone to other careers, there is no limit to what is possible!”

“The transferable skills I received through my studies at Swiss Alpine Center helped me move on to work in the health industry since 2018. Prior to this, I was working as IT & Operations Manager for Food & Beverage outlets. What I always say, is that since the Hospitality Industry is more demanding than other industries, having a hospitality background is a strong asset even when joining other types of industries. Alpine’s high standards gave me the excellent foundation to be able to handle and manage the challenges in my career.”

Miltos describes his qualifications in a humorous way, and guess why?“Database mining and analysis enthusiast. I adore views (I don’t mean landscapes). Loving reporting visualizations and providing all crucial info in a glance. Skillful in analyzing and designing operational workflow. Patient in user training (have trained thousands of people in various business types). I’ve worked a lot with hardware and networking, we like each other, yet we don’t love each other that much. Excellent troubleshooter. Amateur stand-up comedian”
